Eureka Mignon Perfetto (17NX) Coffee grinder
Eureka, at the forefront of grinders, since 1920. Perhaps that is the best way to describe the manufacturer. Some things haven't changed since the beginning, as they still proudly carry the "100% Made in Florence" inscription. Since the beginning, the products have been designed and assembled by hand in Florence. During this time, an unusual duality has characterised the manufacturer. In addition to the professional segment, the home line has not been neglected, and the advantages of both have always been transferred to products aimed at the other segment. In general, manufacturers tend to focus on one category. Fortunately, the products of neither line have been spared this 'attack' on two fronts. Eureka's products are characterised by constant innovation and incredibly responsive to consumer needs. The thoughtfulness and reliability of the grinders is demonstrated by the fact that some have been left almost untouched from the start, or new features have been added to the basic model.
The Mignon Perfetto has the following features:
- A 50 mm bladewith a flat blade for consistent, homogeneous grinding.
- Touch display with adjustable dosage.
- Quiet operation.
- Suitablefor espressoand alternative coffee makingmethods.
- Single and double doses, with adjustment at the touch of a button .
- Infinitely variable grind fineness adjustment.
- 300 gram bean container.
- 1350 rpm.
- 310 W power.
- Compact design, 5.6 kg net weight.
- Direct, carbureted design with filter arm holder.
Ideal for home use, possibly in low traffic café environments, offices.
The life of the knife pair in the unit is approximately 400-500 kilograms.
- This is equivalent to 40,000 - 50,000 single espressos (filter coffee may be higher), based on a 20 gram dose. But it also depends on the coffee used.
- It is important to buy a factory knife for the machine. Aftermarket (the "opposite" of factory made) knives are not nearly as precise (serrated edges, among other things) and have a significantly shorter lifespan.
- Other than counting, the way to tell if a knife is worn is that the grind feels "soft" and mushy. It's as if the knife is now only operating in millstone mode. In addition, if you take the knives out when the coffee grinder is off, it will scratch your fingernails as you drag the edges along. But the latter method is better left to a professional.
