Alternative bean container

The Eureka Mignon grinders are usually equipped with the classic square bean container. This alternative bean container is round and offers the option of blowing out the grinder with a blast of air by pressing the lid down. This removes small residues of ground coffee from the grinder, so that no old ground coffee mixes with the fresh ground coffee during the next grinding process. In contrast to the smaller Single Dose Hopper, this version does not have to do without a generous capacity of around 250 grams.

The big advantage of this system

There are essentially two different coffee grinding workflows. Traditionally, a coffee grinder with a full bean container is always ready to freshly grind some coffee. In recent years, on the other hand, single dosing has become widespread, whereby the beans are weighed before grinding and then ground in individual portions. It is particularly important that the dead space in the grinder is as small as possible, i.e. no old coffee grounds remain in the grinder. But even with classic on-demand grinding, it makes sense to reduce the dead space in order to only have fresh ground material in the portafilter or filter for each portion. This bean container is intended for this hybrid workflow between single dosing and classic on demand. With a full bean container, the lid is pressed at the end of a grinding process, which causes a blast of air to ensure that the remaining ground coffee leaves the grinder.
